Curd or Dahi are one of the byproducts of milk and is also known as yoghurt. Apparently curd helps one to lose weight and is good for the skin. It is very rich in calcium and is good for the bones.
Curd (Yoghurt) – 2 cups
Ghiya (Lauki) – 1 cup, grated
Cumin (Jeera) powder – 1 tsp
Salt – as per need
Red chili powder – as per taste
Method Of Preparation:
1)Take the grated Ghiya and boil it till it appears soft. Once done drain it and allow it to cool.
2)Take the curd and stir it using a hand mixer.
3)Take the Ghiya and add it to the curd and mix it well. In case if the curd appears thick then mix well.
4)To this add cumin powder, salt and chili powder and again mix it well.
5)This needs to be refrigerated for close to an hour.
6)The Ghiya Raita can be served chilled.
